Job Overview

The Development and Communications Manager is responsible for executing the tactical operations of fundraising for HHF, public communications from HHF, and providing insight and expertise regarding optimizing those processes. They will work with the Leadership team to understand HHF fundraising goals and work through outreach to achieve those goals. They will be familiar with fundraising practices, and coordinate and communicate with the entire HHF team to understand and execute on the mission, as well as to communicate that mission to the giving audience. As a Christian organization, staff members must commit their work fully unto the Lord.

Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Monitor, manage, and maintain social media assets and regular community communications to expand the reach and influence of HHF:
    • Communicate via comments, posts, and responses to posts on major social media platforms in a manner that aligns with HHF’s mission and purpose using HHF social media accounts..
    • Develop and improve messaging for HHF.
    • Investigate and keep track of events, newsworthy occurrences, organizations, people and lifestyle situations in the global community that are of interest to the mental health community.
    • Post periodic blog entries on the HHF public web site, coordinated with similar postings on major social media platforms.
    • Provide PR and marketing communications for events and activities fostered by HHF.
  • Assist with the coordination and planning of fundraising events.
  • Track and report on the results of outreach efforts in line with metrics and goals established in collaboration with the Leadership team.
  • Assist with building powerpoint presentations and other graphic materials supporting the outreach and communications efforts of HHF.
  • Manage external email communications to HHF constituents regarding events and news related to the HHF mission.
  • Provide administrative support in a well-organized and timely manner.
  • Produce reports and presentations as required.

 

Position Requirements: 

  • Sense of calling to serve the Lord.
  • Desire to improve the mental health of the local community.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace and other online platforms (Google Documents, Airtable, Salesforce)
  • Proficiency in managing social media and email campaigns and communications.
  • Superb written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong planning and time management skills, including anticipating tasks, setting priorities, meeting deadlines, and functioning smoothly in a diverse and fast-paced environment.
  • Strong team player who also works well independently.
  • Commitment to maintaining client and donor confidentiality.
