Personally, I think this is the best way to make scripture more personal.
Very good insight. It is hard to avoid getting bogged down in the “academics” of studying the Bible. Personally, I have to continually remind myself that I am focusing on the academics so that I am better able to understand the personal aspect at a deeper, more intimate level. If I lose that, the academics are pointless.
