A deeply disturbing undercover video below exposing Planned Parenthood’s use of fetal body parts after abortions.

Planned Parenthood receives over $540.6 million each year from taxpayers for government health services.

You can read more on the story here.

For more context, you can view the nearly three hours of footage here or read the 60-page transcript.

And please read this excellent exhortation to the Church from Russell Moore. Here’s an excerpt:

The church of Jesus Christ should recommit ourselves to speaking out for human dignity. What we see in this instance is what has always been true of Planned Parenthood: Mammon worship in collision with the image of God, and the image is sacrificed on the altar of profiteering. This does not go unnoticed to God. He has said, “Woe to those who decree iniquitous decrees, and the writers who keep writing oppression, to turn aside the needy from justice, and to rob the poor of my people of their right, that widows may be their spoil, and that they may make the fatherless their prey” (Isa. 10:1-2).

The children torn apart in abortion facilities have no names, but God knows their names. They have no resting places but Jesus grants them rest. If we are called into the kingdom of a just Messiah, one who welcomes children, we should stand up and speak up for the vulnerable ones He loves. These children may be just another line item in the abortion industry’s profit ledger, but they share the humanity of our Lord Jesus—and we must plead for justice for them.

It is time for the reborn to stand up for the unborn.

Update: Joe Carter looks into the law and discovers, to his dismay, that this practice is probably legal, and undoubtedly common. An excerpt:

So what does all this mean? It means that this despicable practice of selling the body parts of aborted children is likely to be legal and an accepted, if not common practice, among abortion providers. The video should serve as a disturbing wake-up call for the pro-life community. We are justified in being outraged by the trafficking in human parts by Planned Parenthood and we should be outraged at the federal government that made it legal to traffic in the sale of aborted human flesh. What’s more we should call on our legislators to act to both defund Planned Parenthood and do ban the sale of fetal tissue.

The Center for Medical Progress responds to Planned Parenthood’s response:

Planned Parenthood makes two key admissions in their statement today: 1) aborted fetal parts are harvested at their clinics, and 2) money is exchanged in connection with this. They also tell several lies: 1) That proper consent is obtained from patients, 2) That Planned Parenthood does not make money off the body parts, and 3) that everything is legal.

You can read their post here with evidence refuting #2.

Update: Here is a pro-lifer who watched the entire unedited video and who finds the editing and marketing of it problematic, though the actual practice still deeply troubling.

Is this true, though? I only wonder because I haven’t been able to verify the source of the video. The URL in the bottom right corner of the video leads to nowhere. There is an organization called the Center for Medical Progress, but I see nothing about this on their site.

In any case, abortion is both desperately sad and horrific. Just feel that it’s important to also be sure that the specific allegations are correct and verifiable.

    1. James says:

The video and story are on the front page of the Center for Medical Progress website.

      1. Dan says:

The Center for Medical Progress twitter feed is still active. They state that their website crashed from a high traffic load.

      2. Celesta Dalrymple says:

When I click on the link, it says to please check back later, technical difficulties and that if you are owner of the site please make contact as soon as possible.

I found this information quite disturbing and definitely needs to be shared publicly, if all sources are verifiable.

  2. WhiskeyBucks says:

I have no love for PP, but I think we would be wise to withhold judgement on exactly what this video portrays. I wouldn’t put it past them, and at first glance, it’s pretty damning, but I’d wait to see if they have more information, or if what they have can be contextualized.

  3. Peter C says:

Where is the national media in this? The way she nonchalantly discusses the sale of a baby’s liver while eating her salad is utterly disturbing. If that’s a glass of chianti already on the table, then all she needs are some fava beans and the Hannibal Lecter picture is complete.

I am not in favor of abortions, but I do think Justin should authenticate such videos before he posts them. If this video is later debunked or shown to be taken out of context, it will undermine Justin’s credibility. Justin states, “Planned Parenthood receives over $540.6 million each year from taxpayers for government health services.” Yet he fails to mention that the Hyde Amendment prohibits any federal money from being used to pay for abortions.
If we are really serious about reducing the number of abortions in this country then we should support increased access to contraception. Such programs in Washington state and Colorado significantly reduced the abortion and teen pregnancy rates. And no, such methods of contraception do not cause abortions. If we are really pro-life and not just attempting to control female sexuality, then we should support increased access to contraception.

    1. Nathan Rieb says:

Go to the 2012-2013 PPFA annual report to verify this ( Government health services grants and reimbursements accounted for 45% of their budget. While PPFA accounting may document that those funds weren’t used to pay for abortions, those funds certainly account for the majority of the revenue for the organization that performs the majority of the abortions in this country. Providing the funds that build the buildings, pay the staff, and keep the lights on so those people can perform the abortions may not be directly paying for the abortions, but I suspect without those funds, PPFA struggles to keep their doors open.

      1. Justin Taylor says:

Yes. As one commentator put it, “Planned Parenthood’s claim that only 3 percent of its business is abortion is no different than if a car dealership claimed that it wasn’t really in the business of selling cars because the number of new car sales was only a fraction of its total services provided (financing cars, repairing cars, providing manufacture recommended maintenance for cars, cleaning car, and so forth). Of course no one would believe such an outrageous claim. Sure, a car dealership does all of those things, but its purpose is to sell cars. The abortion industry is no different. The abortion industry, led by Planned Parenthood, is about committing abortion. Sure they provide some other services, but when your only self-sustaining revenue source is one thing and you are responsible for 40 percent of that one thing in the entire nation, that is what you are about. Planned Parenthood is about abortion.”

  6. Kathie Kelly says:

How horrid can it get!!! I felt revulsion and a primal instinct to do bodily harm. While I wont, someone needs to shout this from the rooftops. Blessed Mother pray for us.

  7. Andrew A says:

If you would like extra context and/or verification of this articles suggestions, please see Dr. Nucatola’s own tweets on the matter . This is pretty definitive proof in my eyes.

    1. That feed is no longer there, but with tweets like “Now more than ever, women must come together to protect their natural right to sell the organs of their fetuses. #FreeGosnell”, I’m pretty sure it was a parody account…

  8. shirahna says:

If this is illegal why is it just being shared ?? Why isn’t legal action being taken? Why is planned parenthood still open ?

  9. Pickles says:

Honestly, this seems like they are donating tissue and organs to be used for research and potentially getting paid for it, or trying to figure out a “legal” way to be compensated for it. It also sounds like they ask the mother of the aborted child if they would like to donate or not, so it doesn’t seem like they are just stealing organs and selling them on a black market. It may not agree with your morals (or mine) but let’s not go ballistic over something taken WAY out of context and with little understanding to what is actually going on in the donated tissue and organ markets

    1. Ben says:

Yeah, this looks a whole lot more like tissue donating. While it may be immoral, PP does seem to advocate for what they think is best for their patients. This could really blow up in our (Christian) faces as we mislead people with exaggerated titles and claims. I hope this doesn’t undermine Justin Taylor’s credibility.

  10. Gma215 says:

This is not a new phenomenon. The sale of harvested fetal body parts was exposed in 1999. … ABC News also did a documentary on it. They were ignored and called liars. The good thing now is, with the internet these ghouls and graverobbers can NO LONGER hide their gruesome business.

    1. Vickie Munday says:

Gma215…I applaud EVERYTHING in your post.
