Our lifestyles devoted to earthly pleasures while marginalizing Christ — let’s depict them bluntly: “licking the earth.” But here is what we were created for and can have freely through grace: “Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!” (Psalm 34:8).
There is nothing degrading in Christ. Only satisfying, uplifting, humanizing.
