  1. That this cultural conversation does not seem to penetrate the heart or conscience of progressives, but can be thought of in such abstract concepts speaks volumes, in my opinion.

  2. This video reminded me of the main argument of The Revenge of Conscience: Politics and the Fall of Man by Dr. J. Budziszewski back in 2004. I’m also reminded of the following: “Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will renounce the faith by paying attention to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons, through the hypocrisy of liars whose consciences are seared with a hot iron.” (1 Tim. 4:1-2 NRSV)

  3. Wesley says:

This just negates EVERY argument made from a pro-choice standpoint i’ve heard about when life begins. Now you’ve got a living breathing human being on the table – your plan to abort didn’t work – now they STILL want to champion a woman’s right to choose even after the hurdle of personhood has supposedly been crossed?!? Bollocks! The rights of the mother are clearly ALL that is in the mind of pro-choicers at this level. In fact, i’d be interested to see what some pro-choicers might say after seeing this kind of argumentation. Utter madness.

  4. Matt Steen says:

My hope in this is that she was so blinded by, and focused on, her talking points that she totally ignored the discussion leading up to her time at the microphone.

I was struck by the fact that the ACLU, and other groups that were there, decided not to say anything during the public comment phase. The only two that spoke had the same talking points, and seemed to be utterly incapable of understanding what they were saying by protesting this bill.

    1. Matt Steen says:

One more thought… it intrigues me that much of the issue that people had with this bill revolved around the word “surrendered.”

Here is how the bill is worded:
The infant must be immediately transported and admitted to a hospital. Upon admittance to the hospital the infant is presumed surrendered and must receive medical care and must be provided social services.

What I can’t seem to understand is that there is an issue with the assumption of the child being surrendered when the mother was trying to kill the same child thirty seconds before birth. It would seem that the mother received the desired outcome, just in a slightly different way.

      1. Melody says:

She knew what she was saying. She was being careful to not say it in a way that the every day kind of guy would instantly recognize. It was very deliberate deception. The Father of Lies is who she comes from.

  5. ian says:

This is good, really good news. The more horrific and barbaric abortion is made to look, the better – because we’re normally fed such a sanitised view of it.

  6. the Old Adam says:

They worship ‘the self’. They want what they want. And God can go you know where.

  7. Jeff Baxter says:

Absolutely unbelievable. Always save a life…inside and outside the womb.

  8. Larry says:

    The word is evil.

  9. Sam says:

This is exactly why I get nervous every time I run into a Democratic voting Christian. Can’t see how blinders can be this big, so I assume there must be a serious rejection of truth somewhere.
